Our Story

Parry Murray was established in the late 18th century in India by Thomas Parry and initially made its name as a manufacturing and trading house. John Robert Murray joined the group in 1937 as a partner and Parry Murray was then registered in its modern form in London.

In 1960 the firm began distributing hand woven fabrics for furnishings produced in Kerala, India. In doing so, Parry Murray became one of the first companies to sell such fabrics to the West. This soon became the company”s speciality and its long-standing heritage in the industry has helped it to become a leader in the field.

Today, our London office is a buzz of enthusiastic employees dedicated to servicing our loyal customers. Our team currently consists of 15 members and we proudly work under our Indian Group Company, The Murugappa Group in Chennai, India.
